Hi, I’m Barry. I’m a writer, illustrator, and creative coder. I grew up looking forward to reading my favorite comic strips every day in the newspaper.

I always wanted to create a comic strip in the classic style, where people could get to know a character and a story slowly, over a long period of time. I wanted to play with the humor and fun and silliness of comic strips, definitely — but I also wanted to explore a character facing a near-impossible situation with humor and grace. So I created Roxie, based in part on memories of my daughter.
